We are only 5 miles from the town of Cardigan, the ancient town sits on the estuary of the River Teifi at the base of Cardigan Bay. Its unspoilt townscape and rich heritage provide a nostalgic backdrop to a thriving culture of arts and crafts, events and music festivals.
Here there are miles of tranquil, unspoilt coastline with secluded sandy coves, award winning accessible beaches, towering cliffs , and islands set like jewels in clear waters where dolphins, porpoises and seals abound. Mwnt and Aberporth beaches are the closest, both award winning! Aberporth is a beach with a blue flag award and excellent water quality, and one to enjoy with your dog! Another gem is Mwnt just 2 miles away owned by the National Trust. The headland of Mwnt overlooks a small and secluded sandy beach, apart from the delights of the beach there are short cliff top walks. A wealth of history including a fifteenth century church makes Mwnt a very special place indeed, this is reflected in it having Green Coast status. These beaches are just the start, we are spoilt for choice!
You will not need to travel far from here to see nature, often you will see the Red Kites and Buzzards soaring above, the swifts returning every year to nest, the V shape of the migrating geese flying overhead (non stop chatter!), and what better place to watch it than sitting by the lake with the peace and tranquility of the water.
